The depth of the aged effect depends on how far the oxidation and coloring process is taken, so the tone can be adjusted to match your project. We supply this finish across grades 201, 304, 316 and 430.
The aged brass finish starts with a base surface texture — 헤어라인, 거울, vibration, 양각, 또는 새겨진 — then goes through a coloring process using PVD coating or water plating. Oxidation and tonal variation are introduced during this stage, with darker recesses and lighter high points built into the surface rather than applied as a flat, even color.
How far this process is taken determines the final tone. A shorter process leaves a warmer, lighter finish with subtle variation. A longer process produces a darker, more weathered surface with stronger contrast. Because the tone is a range rather than a fixed setting, we can adjust it within that range to match a specific reference or sample.
The aged effect can be applied over two categories of base surface — flat mechanical finishes and raised relief textures. Each changes how the finish reads at a distance and how light moves across the surface.
These finishes recreate the marks brass picks up through years of handling and wear. Hairline and vibration use fine mechanical scratching to mimic the scuffs and wear patterns that build up on a handled brass surface over time. Mirror takes a different route — a polished base worked with the aged coloring, closer to the look of an old, clouded brass mirror than a flat reflective surface.
These finishes go a step further, adding physical depth to the surface. Rather than just replicating marks on a flat plane, embossed and etched textures recreate the cracking and surface flaking that brass develops over decades of age — the raised and recessed areas pick up the coloring differently, so the texture itself carries the aged look, not just the color on top of it.

Every sheet and coil ships with protective PVC film from Polifilm (Germany) and Novacel (France). Adhesion level is matched to your downstream process — strong enough to stay in place through laser cutting or stamping without gas pressure lifting the film and causing edge blowout, but not so strong that it leaves residue when removed.
