Quilted stainless steel is a diamond embossed sheet — a raised, rhombus-grid textured surface pressed into the metal that diffuses light, hides fingerprints and fine scratches, and stiffens the panel.
Quilted stainless steel — also called diamond quilted 또는 diamond pattern stainless — is one of the embossed, textured stainless steel finishes. The pattern is a regular grid of raised diamonds (rhombuses) embossed into the sheet face, giving a padded, "quilted" look similar to tufted upholstery.
"Quilted" is the umbrella term; "diamond quilted" names the diamond motif. In stainless steel the cells are almost always diamonds, so the two terms are used interchangeably.

Every quilted sheet can be finished with PVD color coating over the embossed texture — texture and color on one panel, durable and corrosion-resistant. This goes beyond the plain mirror / brushed quilted sheet most suppliers stop at.
