Quilted stainless steel is a diamond embossed sheet — a raised, rhombus-grid textured surface pressed into the metal that diffuses light, hides fingerprints and fine scratches, and stiffens the panel.
Quilted stainless steel — also called diamond quilted ou diamond pattern stainless — is one of the embossed, textured stainless steel finishes. The pattern is a regular grid of raised diamonds (rhombuses) embossed into the sheet face, giving a padded, "quilted" look similar to tufted upholstery.
"Quilted" is the umbrella term; "diamond quilted" names the diamond motif. In stainless steel the cells are almost always diamonds, so the two terms are used interchangeably.
Like all embossed / textured aço inoxidável, the relief breaks up reflections to cut glare, conceals fingerprints and everyday wear, and adds rigidity to the panel — turning a plain sheet into a durable design surface.

True / elongated diamond — 4″ × 8″ (102 × 203 mm).

Every quilted sheet can be finished with PVD color coating over the embossed texture — texture and color on one panel, durable and corrosion-resistant. This goes beyond the plain mirror / brushed quilted sheet most suppliers stop at.
