"Antique" gets used to describe two different things, and they're not the same product:

Patinated etched sheet metal starts from a brushed or hairline base, then goes through etching, chemical aging, torching, polishing, oiling, and drying — a deeper, more worked process than the mottled or heat-textured routes. The etching adds a layer of surface pattern beneath the patina, so the aged tone sits in and around an existing texture rather than on a flat surface, giving it more visual depth than a plain distressed finish.

Antique Copper Etched Stainless Steel Sheet (2)

Patinated Bronze Stainless Steel

Patinated bronze stainless steel holds an olive-toned bronze base, with dye or torch work layered on to echo how bronze darkens and lightens unevenly after decades of exposure. The variation lives entirely in the color — the surface underneath stays smooth, so if you want texture as well, see Antique Hammered below.

Antique Copper Sheet Metal

Antique copper sheet metal takes a deeper reddish-brown patina tone, produced through water plating rather than PVD — part of why it reads closer to true aged copper than a flat PVD color would. Water plating lays down the base color, chemical blackening deepens it, and torching or dye work brings out the tonal contrast that gives the surface its worn character.

Antique Brass Sheet Metal

Antique brass sheet metal carries a warm, darkened brass tone, colored unevenly by hand — dye and torching build up depth where real brass would naturally tarnish first, leaving other areas lighter. It's a color effect on a smooth surface, not a raised texture. On our stainless steel base, that aged brass finish stays put once installed, instead of continuing to tarnish the way real brass does over time.
