5WL stainless steel carries the same vertical ripple (wave) texture as 2WL, but pressed to a greater depth — tighter, more raised waves that deliver a stronger, more three-dimensional rhythm and added slip resistance. Pressed this deep, the raised wave crests read almost like rows of rice grains / cereal grains, giving 5WL its signature tactile, woven character.
5WL stainless steel is an embossed / stamped ripple-pattern sheet, where precision rolling molds press continuous vertical wave lines into the surface at a Tiefer profile than 2WL. Because the press is deeper and tighter, the raised crests of each wave separate into short, plump segments — so the surface reads as rows of rice-grain / cereal-grain beads running vertically, rather than the smooth continuous lines of 2WL. This grain-like relief gives the metal a rich, tactile, almost woven appearance, catches and scatters light to soften glare, and helps conceal fingerprints, fine scratches, and everyday wear. The deeper texture also adds rigidity and surface grip. The result is both decorative and durable — well suited to elevator interiors, wall cladding, commercial fixtures, feature panels, and anti-slip surfaces on industrial equipment and machine covers. The grain size and wave pitch can be customized to match the project.

They share the same vertical wave shape. 5WL is pressed deeper, so the raised crests break into a rice-grain-like relief with a wider, more pronounced pitch; 2WL is shallower, reading as smooth, soft satin lines.
Functionally, 5WL gives a stronger visual and better grip.
It is still the same vertical ripple as 2WL — but the deeper, tighter press separates each wave crest into short, plump segments, so the surface reads as rows of rice-grain / cereal-grain beads. The grain effect is a result of depth, not a different pattern.
Its deeper waves give more grip than 2WL, so it suits feature surfaces and light anti-slip panels. For maximum slip resistance, see the round-dome family (15DP).
