This project involves a stainless steel structure fabrication solution for a slaughterhouse weighing facility in Iraq, designed to operate under high humidity and strict hygiene conditions.
The entire load-bearing system was fabricated using stainless steel square tubes, with a strong focus on dimensional accuracy, fabrication consistency, and on-site assembly efficiency.
To support fast identification and accurate installation, laser-marked numbering was applied to all major structural components.
This project involves a 304 stainless steel weighing structure designed for slaughterhouse environments with high humidity and strict hygiene requirements.
The entire system is fabricated from stainless steel square tubes.
For easier on-site identification and installation, laser-marked numbering is applied to all major structural components.
All base plates are perforated in advance, with hole positions reserved for accurate and efficient on-site installation.
The columns are fabricated from square tubes formed from 304 stainless steel plates.
A stainless steel base plate is welded at the bottom of each column, with pre-drilled holes reserved for installation and anchoring.
The beams are also made from 304 stainless steel square tubes.
Unlike the columns, stainless steel plates are welded both at the top and bottom of each beam to facilitate structural connection and installation.
All connection plates are pre-drilled according to the project drawings.
Laser marking is used to permanently identify each major component, improving installation accuracy and long-term traceability.
This project covered the delivery of a stainless steel structure fabrication package for a slaughterhouse facility located in Iraq.
Given the operational environment—long-term exposure to moisture, frequent wash-downs, chemical cleaning agents, and strict hygiene regulations—the project imposed higher-than-average requirements on both corrosion resistance and structural reliability.
From the early stage, it was evident that material supply alone would not be sufficient. The project required a fabrication partner capable of validating structural logic, executing precision stainless steel structure fabrication, and coordinating inspection under industrial operating conditions.
After evaluating the operating environment and service life requirements, AISI 304 stainless steel was selected for the entire load-bearing structure to balance corrosion resistance, mechanical performance, and long-term maintenance cost.
The fabrication scope was fully drawing-based and included:
Custom-fabricated stainless steel columns for primary load transfer
Stainless steel beams manufactured strictly according to issued structural drawings
Perforated stainless steel plates with hole patterns, spacing, and tolerances defined by client specifications
All components were fabricated for on-site assembly, making dimensional accuracy, hole positioning, and fabrication consistency critical to the success of the stainless steel structure fabrication process.
Although fabrication was executed based on client-issued drawings, Sanmei Metal conducted an internal pre-fabrication engineering review as part of its standard stainless steel structure fabrication risk-control process.
During this review, a critical structural inconsistency was identified that could have led to improper load transfer and potential failure under operating conditions.
Sanmei Metal immediately:
Flagged the structural risk with clear technical reasoning
Coordinated directly with the client’s engineering team
Supported revisions of key structural details prior to fabrication
This early-stage intervention eliminated a major safety risk and prevented costly rework or operational failure after installation.

Following approval of the revised drawings, fabrication proceeded under controlled processing standards specifically tailored for stainless steel structure fabrication.
To meet compliance requirements, Sanmei Metal fully supported a client-appointed third-party inspection agency, including:
Coordination of inspection schedules and hold points
Preparation of material certificates and fabrication documentation
On-site support for dimensional checks, material traceability, and workmanship verification
In parallel, Sanmei optimized the inspection workflow to ensure inspection activities were completed efficiently without disrupting fabrication progress.
This project demonstrates Sanmei Metal’s capabilities in stainless steel structure fabrication for hygiene-sensitive industrial environments.
The scope extended beyond fabrication execution to include material selection, structural logic verification, controlled production, and coordinated inspection support.
Daily production updates enabled remote monitoring and effective coordination throughout fabrication, inspection, and delivery, providing strong confidence in both execution quality and long-term operational performance.
