PVD Coated Stainless Steel Coil

PVD, physical vapor deposition, vaporizes metal in a vacuum and deposits it on stainless steel as a thin, hard color film. Coating the full coil keeps the color uniform across every panel you cut from it, for architecture, consumer goods, automotive and healthcare.

Titanium gold coil measures 0.301 µm and rose gold 0.319 µm, against 0.235 and 0.250 µm for typical market coil.

No flaking

Cross-hatch adhesion test to GB/T 5270 shows no flaking, where typical coating loses up to about 5%.

Controlled color difference

Color is checked in CIE LAB both inline and offline: a* and b* within ±1, and L* within ±2 for dark tones, so panels from different coils still match.

Anti-fingerprint

Keep the color clean.

Colored and mirror surfaces show every touch. An anti-fingerprint layer on top of the PVD color keeps panels clean in kitchens, elevators and retail interiors.
Resists fingerprints, smudges and solvents.
Clear, so the color and the base finish look the same.

Questions buyers ask before ordering PVD coated coil.

Is PVD the best coating?

PVD is excellent for decorative stainless steel. For applications needing very thick layers or extreme high-temperature resistance, other solutions are better.

Is PVD stainless steel safe?

The coating is non-toxic and the production process is clean. If your project needs specific test reports, tell us and we confirm what we can provide.

Is PVD coating expensive?

Coil coating has shortened production and lowered cost, and continuous processing costs less per square meter than sheet-by-sheet coloring.

PVD or water plating?

PVD gives longer-lasting color and better wear resistance. Water plating gives more vivid colors at a lower cost, a good choice on a tighter budget.

Should I buy PVD coil or PVD sheet?

Coil when many panels must match exactly or you need custom widths and lengths; sheet for cut-to-size panels across a wider range of grades.
