Sanmei Metal offers two blasted matte finishes for stainless steel — bead blasted for a fine, even texture, sand blasted for a coarser, heavy-coverage surface.

Blasting is a surface finishing process where media is propelled at the metal under pressure, producing a non-reflective matte texture. The sheet is first prepared with a base finish, then blasted with either fine bead media or coarser sand media — the type and size of media determines how smooth or coarse the final texture is.

Bead blasted starts from a pre-polished base, using fine glass or ceramic beads to create a smooth, even texture with a soft sheen (Ra 1.5–2.5μm). Sand blasted uses coarser zirconia or aluminum oxide media on a standard base, producing a rougher, fully matte texture with no sheen (Ra 4–7μm). Bead blasting costs more due to the finer media and tighter process control; sand blasting is simpler and lower-cost.

Bead blasted and sand blasted are often used on the same surfaces — the difference is cost and refinement. Bead blasted, with its finer texture, suits premium high-touch applications like phone casings, watch components, and high-end retail or hospitality fixtures. Sand blasted is the lower-cost option for high-contact surfaces like handrails, door hardware, and equipment housings that don't need the same level of refinement.

Material quality starts at the source. Verified mills and processors in Foshan ensure traceable, consistent supply.

Coloring and processing under one roof. PVD, water plating, and surface finishing — all in-house.

Built on material understanding. Engineers review drawings to ensure profiles are manufacturable.

Coordinated, not fragmented. Processing, fabrication, and finishing aligned end to end.
Base coils come from our TOP partner mills (Lisco, Tisco, Jisco, Posco PZSS, Yongjin, Hongwang) before undergoing surface finishing and coating in-house at our Foshan facility.
Every sheet and coil ships with protective PVC film from Polifilm (Germany) and Novacel (France). Adhesion level is matched to your downstream process — strong enough to stay in place through laser cutting or stamping without gas pressure lifting the film and causing edge blowout, but not so strong that it leaves residue when removed.
Seaworthy packaging using sturdy wooden crates or steel frames to ensure 100% surface perfection upon arrival. Exporting directly to North America, Europe, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
