Quilted stainless steel is a diamond embossed sheet — a raised, rhombus-grid textured surface pressed into the metal that diffuses light, hides fingerprints and fine scratches, and stiffens the panel.
Quilted stainless steel — also called diamond quilted or diamond pattern stainless — is one of the embossed, textured stainless steel finishes. The pattern is a regular grid of raised diamonds (rhombuses) embossed into the sheet face, giving a padded, "quilted" look similar to tufted upholstery.
"Quilted" is the umbrella term; "diamond quilted" names the diamond motif. In stainless steel the cells are almost always diamonds, so the two terms are used interchangeably.
Like all embossed / textured stainless steel, the relief breaks up reflections to cut glare, conceals fingerprints and everyday wear, and adds rigidity to the panel — turning a plain sheet into a durable design surface.
Quilted is not a single look — we emboss the diamond quilted pattern in a full range of shapes, profiles and cell sizes, so you can match the textured finish to the panel and the project. The diamond family includes:
Emboss line width: 9/16″ (14.3 mm) V-shaped line — standard across all patterns.
Square diamond quilted — three cell sizes:
True / elongated diamond — 4″ × 8″ (102 × 203 mm).
All available in fine line or beveled embossed, across 201/304/316/430 with optional PVD color. Custom cell sizes from your drawing.
Every quilted sheet can be finished with PVD color coating over the embossed texture — texture and color on one panel, durable and corrosion-resistant. This goes beyond the plain mirror / brushed quilted sheet most suppliers stop at.
