430 BA Stainless Steel Sheet and Coil

430 BA gets its bright, reflective surface from controlled-atmosphere annealing. The smooth, mirror-like finish looks good and cleans easily, which suits appliance housings and other uses with high appearance standards. As a ferritic steel it is magnetic, and an economical alternative to 300 series grades.

Why 430 BA

Bright, magnetic, economical.

Magnetic, unlike 300 series: suits magnetic separators and electromagnetic devices.
16–18% chromium forms a protective oxide layer for reliable corrosion resistance indoors.
Keeps its strength and oxidation resistance up to 816 °C (1500 °F) for medium-temperature uses.
A cost-effective alternative to 300 series. For harsher environments without the need for magnetism, choose 304 BA.

Is 430 BA magnetic?

Yes. It is ferritic, so it is magnetic, unlike 300 series grades.

430 BA or 304 BA?

430 BA is magnetic and more economical, with good corrosion resistance indoors. Choose 304 BA for harsher environments when you do not need magnetism.
