201 2B is a cost-effective, low-nickel stainless steel with a smooth, satin-matte surface. It forms, embosses and colors well, which makes it the usual base for indoor decorative sheets, wall panels and furniture.

A low-cost base for decorative work.

Smooth 2B surface with good formability, ideal for decorative patterns, embossing and coloring.
Lower nickel and moderate corrosion resistance: right for indoor use, not for outdoor or coastal exposure.

Questions buyers ask before ordering 201 2B.

What is the difference between 201 J1, J2, J3 and J4?

J1 suits general shallow drawing, J2 is harder and not suited to bending, J3 suits lightly machined structures, and J4 is best for complex deep-drawn products.

Can 201 2B be used outdoors?

It is best indoors. Its lower nickel gives moderate corrosion resistance; for outdoor or coastal use choose 304 or 316.

Yes. Its smooth 2B surface is the usual base for embossed, colored and other decorative sheets.
