7DL stainless steel is an embossed / stamped round-dome sheet, made by precision molds that press evenly spaced hemispherical domes into the surface. The domes are round, relatively large, and set with open spacing, giving a bold but clean dotted finish that breaks up reflections, reduces glare, and helps conceal fingerprints, scratches, and everyday wear. It is widely used in elevator cabins, interior wall panels, commercial fixtures, and decorative industrial surfaces where both appearance and surface performance matter. The dome size and spacing can be customized.

Pattern Profile and Surface Finish

7DL stainless steel sheet is typically processed on a single side only. The pattern or texture is embossed on the Prime Side, while the Non-Prime Side remains unprocessed. Due to the embossing, stamping, or forming process, the appearance and texture may differ slightly between the two sides.

The pattern profile may vary depending on material thickness, and the pattern depth and configuration may also differ slightly from one gauge to another.

Guidance to Choose a Right Size for Your Embossed SS Sheets

Before purchasing, you should estimate the overall weight of the finished decorative sheet and the load-bearing capacity of the application area to avoid overloading.
Since decorative sheets are primarily used for aesthetic purposes, a smaller thickness is sufficient, which not only saves costs but also meets the requirements. Whether for indoor or outdoor use, the ideal thickness range for stainless steel decorative sheets is between 0.5mm and 2.0mm.

Sheets thinner than 0.5mm are too fragile and can be easily damaged during handling and manufacturing.
Sheets thicker than 2.0mm are difficult to process and challenging to use in practical applications.

Is 7DL the same pattern as 15DP?

They're the closest pair but not identical. 7DL's raised studs lean diamond / rhombic and are shallow; 15DP's studs are clearly round domes and pressed much deeper.

How is 7DL different from 2WL, 5WL, 6WL, and 7WL?

By shape. 7DL (with 15DP) is a raised-stud (dot) pattern — 7DL's studs lean diamond, 15DP's are round. 2WL and 5WL are ripple / wave patterns. 6WL and 7WL are diamond / water-drop mesh patterns.
