What is silver hammered stainless steel?

Silver hammered metal stainless steel sheet carries a dimpled, hand-struck texture pressed into the surface — an irregular pattern of shallow indentations that catches light differently from every angle.
Handcrafted look: the texture reads as handcrafted rather than machine-flat — a surface that hides fingerprints and light scratching by design, since the texture itself breaks up reflection and wear marks.
Two base options: a lightly ground matte base for a low-glare surface, or a mirror-polished base for a reflective surface where light catches in each hammered dimple.
Silver tone: the natural silver of stainless steel — a clean, industrial base for the hammered texture.

Silver hammered FAQ.

Questions buyers ask before ordering silver hammered sheet.

Is this silver-plated?

No. It's solid stainless steel (201, 304, 316, 430). The silver is the natural color of the steel, with the hammered texture pressed into the surface.

Does silver hammered sheet show fingerprints?

The opposite of flat finishes — the broken texture scatters light and breaks up smudges, so fingerprints and minor scratches are far less visible. It's one of the main reasons designers specify it for high-traffic surfaces.

Matte or mirror base — which should I choose?

A lightly ground matte base gives a low-glare surface. A mirror-polished base gives a reflective surface where light catches in each hammered dimple.

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes. Specify 316 / 316L for coastal or high-humidity environments; 304 is fine for general exterior use. The hammered texture itself doesn't affect corrosion resistance.

Is there a minimum order?

No MOQ. We support both coil and cut-sheet orders, so you can order sample quantities before committing to a full run.

How is silver hammered sheet installed?

For wall and ceiling applications, sheets can be mounted directly using a specialized construction adhesive, with no welding or visible fasteners. For larger panels or structural applications, we can advise on framing and mechanical fixing options based on your project.
